This week felt like a bit of a let down for me. I have been off work sick so I have not felt like doing much at all. To top it off I haven’t been able to see my mum because her immunity is so low she can’t risk catching any germs.
But today there was a little ray of sunshine as I went to my children’s school to celebrate Mother’s day with a school mass and morning tea. There is nothing like seeing their beautiful faces light up when they see you there in the church, my heart was so full.
It was a great time for me to reflect on how special I am to my children and how special my mum is and what an integral part she has played and still plays in my life. She inspires me everyday and I hope I am the best mother I can be to my kids, just as my mum has been and continues to be for me.
Mum’s are such special and precious people that we should cherish forever. Whether your mum is still with you, or whether she has grown her angel wings. I hope that you can take time out this Mother’s day to thank her and reflect on how wonderful she is.
“Thank you my brave, kind, generous, loving and beautiful mum for guiding me through life and inspiring me to be the best person I can be.” xx
